I upgraded even though I haven't had any problems with the last build. Created a new image and it works just dandy, as I expected it would.

I do the same thing Jeff, but the only caveat I would bring up is to update your recovery boot disc as well, could happen that a newer version of a backup file might not recognize/be recognized by an older boot disc.
So I tend to erase/reburn a new boot disc whenever I upgrade versions.

That's something I've been wondering about Bob (creating new boot discs with each update). Would be interesting to hear about any experiences with this. I can't find anything on the Acronis site that mentions this particular topic.

Bob, I agree and so does Acronis. It may be the safe thing to do and an easy task to accomplish, but I really hate throwing good CD's away every time True Image is updated. So, for awhile now I have made it a practice to create the Boot Disk on a CD-RW (unformatted) which I can then erase and reuse with each new update to the application.

Acronis True Image on upgrade asks if a new recovery boot disk is to be made. As I watched in the upgrade install, it spent a LOT of time in the "Drivers" area. So it makes since to me that if a driver is affected, then so is the boot disk.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

John,
I know that it was a problem with earlier versions of TI but it seems to have been corrected with the later builds.

I also use a CD-RW to make the boot disks. In fact, I use CD-RW for most all of my copies of all things. A few cents more for the RW but much more useable.

Hi John,
I suspect that anyone that might have any experiences on this would have been bit - and probably bit hard . Not having a boot disc recognize a backup I've made would pretty near convince me to seek alternatives.
Certainly, I hope that nobody that frequents this board has that happen to them.
