    desktop icon textbox (XP SP2)

The text boxes below my desktop icons have a color fill. I'd like to get rid of the fill so that I see just text. Anyone know how I can do that???

Start>Control Panel>System>Advanced>Performance Settings>Visual Effects and check "Use Drop Shadows for Icon Labels on the Desktop".

You can also use a little utility called Iconoid. In addition to making transparent titles, it can do a lot more icon "massaging" if you want.

Get a free copy at ICONOID

    Sample is below.

    Today it is called golf!
