I have written an accounting package for small businesses. It works great.

One of my clients asked me if I could do a second workbook in which he could track client

Although it's possible to use code to do this, I don't think it's a good idea. What if the operator types a customer number, then discovers he/she made a mistake. The data have already been copied to the other workbook.
I think it would be better to provide an export option that has to be invoked by clicking a button (for example). Would that be acceptable to your client?

I have attached a zip file with two workbooks: Customers.xls contains worksheets for each customer. In.xls contains your data sheet. I have added a command button (from the Forms toolbar) labeled Export. When you click it, it will prompt you for a starting date, then copy information for all transactions from that date and later to the appropriate customer worksheet.
You can view the code behind the command button - select Tools | Macro | Macros..., select Export and click Edit.

Note: macro security must not be set to High, otherwise the macro will be disabled. Medium is the recommended setting.

Thanks so much for helping again. I will show my client this on Tuesday and I'm convinced this is just what he wants.

    Thanks again
