    locked folders (XP home SP2+)

I restored some files that had been created on XP-Pro using NTBackup onto a new machine. Now I have two curious things happening.
There are several folders that I cannot delete even if I log on as admin.
One whole folder appears to be locked by one machine on the network so that the files can only be opened as copies. The machine with the lock was not involved in the restoration but it's predecessor with the same name may have been used to create most of the files.

Download a copy of the <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15> utility Dr. Delete and use it to delete those files or folders. That should take care of them during a reboot of the system. HTH <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>
