    Convert XLA to XLS (2003/SP1)

Several weeks ago, my customer decided they did not like clicking on a button to start their application so I converted the whole thing to an XLA and made a menu item. Now they decided that the button was better. {They also make fundamental changes to the formulas without regard

I have added lots of changes to the file sincce it was made an ADD-IN. I cannot afford to lose the changes.

    Is there a simple way to change it back? <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>

Open the .xla file in Excel.
    It will be invisible.
    Activate the Visual Basic Editor.
Click on the ThisWorkbook node of the .xla file in the Project Explorer.
Change the IsAddin property (in the Properties pane) from True to False.
Switch back to Excel; the file will now be visible.
You can use File | Save As to save it as a .xls file.
