    Conditional Formating (97)

    Greeting,
    Have searched through other Conditional Formatting problems, but no luck on my problem.
    I have a value dealing with years of service. I want values of 10,15,20.... to be bold and the cell color changed. I have played with conditional formatting with no luck.
    Any help will be great. Thanks. <img src=/S/confused3.gif border=0 alt=confused3 width=45 height=45>

    Re: Conditional Formating (97)

    You need to test for multiples of 5, which requires the MOD (Modulo) operator.

    In the conditional formatting dialogue, select "formula is" and set the formula to
    <pre>=MOD(C4,5) = 0</pre>

    Where "C4" is the cell you are formatting, and then set the format you want. After you copy that format to the required range, all cells that are an even multiple of 5 will show the desired format.
