    Shared printers

I have Win2K server which are acting as a print/file server. The problem is that shared printers seems to be dropped by the server and all the clients lose connections to the printers. And this happens too often for it to be something random. And only way to bring back those lost printers are to reboot the server. Any idea why this maybe happening and any resolution?

    Re: Shared printers

The only things I can find that may be relevant are:
Q225837 Network Printer Error Message "Unable to Connect"
Q227908 Domain-Level Printer List Is Not Refreshed

If none apply, can you give some more info? Type of clients, SP, network protocol....

    Re: Shared printers

Clients are mix of Win9x and Win2K pro.
What exactly happen is that all the network printers listed in the Win2K server disappears from printers folder and only item left is "add printers". When rebooted, all the network shared printers comes back to printers folder and once again clients can send print jobs... for few minutes.... until they all disappears again.

I've seen similar situation on a win95 stand alone machine, but never on a networked server.
