    hub into router?

In expanding my network capabilities ... I was told I can use my current 5 port hub ... and run it into a 4 port router to give extra ports for access plus connection to broadband.. Is this correct?

    Re: hub into router?

You should be able to. Either use a standard patch cable if either the hub or router has an 'uplink' (or auto-sense] socket, or use a cross-over patch cable.

Whether or not either will give you a connection to broadband is another matter. Is the router combined with an (A)DSL Modem?

The router will be connecting to a broadband modem (satellite actually).
