AutoCorrects don't work in some files (2003)

A colleague with whom I am in frequent communication recently sent me two new Word files, and in those files, my AutoCorrects don't work. My AutoCorrects do work in older files I have received from the same person, and do work in other Word files I have (both of my own creation and from others). What could be causing this and what can be done to correct it and prevent it from happening in the future?

It may be the case that the autocorrect entries are language specific. Do you know what language is assigned to the text contained in these two problem files? If you change the language to the one you are familiar with do the autocorrects work once more?

You are exactly right. Changing the language from English (UK) to English (US) in the file did the trick! Thanks so much for the tip!
