    Boot problem

    Hey guys, recently bought a new ASROCK P4 Combo board and installed it, comptuer botos up, all the fans work and it btays like that, teh HDD led stays lit and so does the green power led, though the monitor does not appear to be recieveing any signal, nothing shows on screen, have tried another monitor, the same... any suggestions?

    Have you checked to see if your video card is seated tightly ??? I'd remove it and reseat it and see if that helps.

    Fixed it, was the jumper settings, as its a P4 combo nit was default set to socket 775, meant changing 21 jumper areas, took an hour lol, however, done it and it goes good now, encountered a harddrive problem, i think the boot sector is damaged as this was my initial problem and why i got a new m/b, needed a new one anyway, thanks for the help though,

    If the boot sector wasis bad, then the MB wouldn't be the problem, the Hard Drive contains the boot sector.
