Does it happen in non-Office applications too? Are there exceptions (if so, which)?

Does the font change only in the printout of Office documents, or is it changed in the documents themselves after printing?

The font on the file deos not change, font changes on the printout( when the docuemnts is printed out is different from the preview screen), when printing an email from Outlook, it only prints the name of the user. i.e. HansV .

Are you sure that the problem is not caused by the users viewing documents at a zoom percentage different from 100%? If they do, the printout will look different from what the see on screen.

I am sure (in one page the prinout is Ok, on the other as I said the font is much bigger), some users get just lines instead of text, checked the seetings everything is OK. They are netowrk printers, called HP LaserJets, and all the departmenst using those printers are having the same problem (there is more than on printer)...

Check whether the correct drivers for those LaserJets have been installed.

    Re: Printing problems (2000/XP)

I'm inclined to suspect the printer drivers as well.

Apart from that, has this just started happening?
    Are the printers newly installed?
Have you just upgraded your version of Office?
(i.e. is/are there any system change(s) you have made that preceded the problem?)

Can you do a test with a new blank Word or Excel document and create sample text with a selection of common fonts (Arial, Courier, Times Roman, Tahoma, etc.) and see if it is font related?
