    Always available in Excel

    Hi,

Now I've got a macro that works fine. I just want it to be available in every Excel-session I start, but I do not wanna place an XLS in the XLSTART-folder. I want Excel to run a new clean worksheet everytime it starts with the macro there.

    How can this be done?

    best regards, David

Well, if you put it in Personal.xls in XLStart, it will always be available and you will still start with new clean worksheet everytime.

Your other choice is to make it an addin.

    Thank you very much.

How do you make it an add-in?

From the spreadsheet window of the workbook containing your function, not the VBE window, do a File Save AS. In the Save As dialog box in the "Save as type" combo box select "Nicrosoft Excel addin" (probably the last entry in the list). Enter the name you want for the file, select a directory, and click Save. Now, go to Tools Addins. Click the browse button, find the file and click OK. Make sure your file has a check mark next to it in the addin list and click ok.
