Opening old PST file (98 and 2003)

I use OL 98 at work and 2003 at home. I have a folder of calendar items (not the main calendar folder) in my personal folders at work. I exported the contents to a PST file called Examdates.pst. I took the file home and put it on my HD. In OL 2003, I used the file menu to open the PST file, but could not see the calendar entries in it. (If I use the same method with OL 98 at work it opens the same file OK, and the appointments are visible.) Should this work, or can't OL 2003 work with a OL 98 file?

Pardon me if you already realized this, but after you opened the PST in Outlook 2003, did you switch to Folder Pane View? The Calendar Folder won't show if you are using Message Pane View in Outlook 2003.

I didn't realise this and I will check at home this evening. Thanks.
