    Window freeze & split (xp & 2003)

All caps post fixed by HansV

I would like to use both the window freeze and window split in the same work book. Or at least 2 window freeze. I attached a sample of the worksheet I would like to apply this dual mode to. In the sample I want the titles to be shown at all times from rows 1 thru 7 and on the bottom the snap shot starting at row 201.

    Any ideas?

Sorry for the caps, I got to get the kb fixed.

Sorry, that is not possible. You can split the window or freeze panes, but not both, and there is only one set of each.

Some options that come to mind:

    1) Do not split and just use 2 windows and then freeze panes at row 7

    2) insert rows 202-211 above row 1 and then freeze panes and all will be visible

    3) if you wanted to use some VB you could eliminate the table all together and have pulldowns for the the items in col B and have them select from a list and have it enter the appropriate code

Not to go too low tech on you, but I can get the desired effect by freezing the panes at the top of the sheet to show the titles, and then printing out the table of codes and taping it to the bottom of my monitor <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
