    Printing form only once

I have a form that I will number consecutively.

I will assign items to appear on that form number.

I will print out the form (Example print form # 234.)

I want to make the database so that that form number can't be printed out again. In other words, have the same limits that a preprinted prenumbered form would have.

    Thanks for your help

    Re: Printing form only once

I'm sorry, but I can't make sense of what you're asking. What do you mean, a form that you will number consecutively? I understand that you're trying to create an electronic equivalent of a prenumbered form, but I don't undertstand what you're actually trying to DO. You don't number forms, you assign keys to records. It might be possible to keep from printing the same record again in a particular report, but it would take a fair amount of effort and I suspect you're new to Access.

You don't ordinarily print forms, and I would recommend highly that you don't try it. Perhaps if you can explain a little more about what you're trying to accomplish, someone can help you. Also, please include the version of Access you're using, including any service releases or service packs that have been applied.
