Style Won't Change for New Msgs (2003 sp1)

I'm trying to help someone who uses HTML format with Word as e-mail editor. She changed her default font to Times New Roman, but all new look like they're double spaced, including her signature. The style she is using is Normal, and the paragraph spacing above and below shows "auto". I have had her display the styles taskpane, select the style to modify it, and change the spacing above and below to 0. We check the box to add to template, and that corrects everything in the current message window. If she closed that messages and starts a new one, the spacing is back to looking like double spacing. Is there a way I can have her reset all her styles, or does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

My suggestion would be NOT to use Word as e-mail editor, but she probably doesn't want to hear that...
