    Startup sequence (XP Pro SR2)

On startup, the sequence in which programs appear in the tray changes from time to time. This doesn't matter to me with one exception. I would like to have my Zone Alarm Security Suite load as soon in the sequence as possible, to minimize the risk with my always on connection. It takes a long time to boot, and the sooner I have virus protection the better. Sometimes it is the first to load, but there seems to be no consistency to it, although I admit I have been adding programs, which might be causing the changes.

    Hello,

instead of installing a tool, you can use a batch file.

Most of your programs on startup are listed in the registry:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentV ersionRun
    or
    HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVe rsionRun

You can copy all program calls you find there in a batch and sort them...

    Regards
    Axel
