    AIM &AI RoboForm Updates

AIM has an upgrade to AOL Instant Messinger Triton Beta 0.5.15 Beta. What in the name of Sam Hill is Triton and how is it different from the other programs?

AI RoboForm is updated to 6.4.8.

Both of these were emailed to me by Version Tracker. Check for availability for yourself.

Triton really belongs in the realm of hardware IMO.

Please explain to me, if you can, what has Triton got to do with Instant Messenger?

Triton is just a different name. See this article.

The Roboform update is also a beta release. From the site:

"RoboForm versions 6.4.0 to 6.4.9 are betas for version 6.5.

Current beta version is 6.4.8. "

BTW, Triton is just a codename for the next AIM release. Software companies routinely give codenames/project names to new releases.

    Sorry <img src=/S/sorry.gif border=0 alt=sorry width=15 height=15>. My reply was more along the lines of a joke <img src=/S/rofl.gif border=0 alt=rofl width=15 height=15>.
I see Phil & Joe provided the serious answers you were after.

    Re: AIM &AI RoboForm Updates

A very recent UK computer magazine recommended RoboForm for password management and web-form filling, more secure than the Google or Firefox (and probably IE) mechanisms, which leave data lying about in easily-hacked locations. I wonder if it is the same one as yours?

PS Who is Sam Hill and why should he know anything about AOL?

I'm surprised you of all people were unable to Google an explanation to Sam Hill.

Very interesting article, Phil. Now I understand and my question has been answered.
Triton has a lot to do with AIM. I think I'll let others test the waters before I jump in.

I believe an equivalently similar sentence was "Who are the Beatles?"!

I see history is repeating itself...
