    Formula Problem (Excel 2002)

    Hi

    =IF(AM58="Autodosed Powder","Unison G",IF(AM58="Install Single Tank Liquid","D250 D & R",IF(AM58="Install Single Tank Powder","Unison G",IF(AM58="Install Multi Tank Liquid","D 1000",IF(AM58="Install Multi Tank Powder","Unison G",IF(AM58="Integral","Integral",IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(X 58,Manufacturer,2,0)),"",VLOOKUP(X58,Manufacturer, 2,0))))))))

I appear to have the maximum IF statements her but I still get an error, I suspect it might be the VLOOKUP section.

    Any Advice Please

    Thanks

    Re: Formula Problem (Excel 2002)

    Create a table like this:

    <table border=1><td>Autodosed Powder</td><td>Unison G</td><td>Install Single Tank Liquid</td><td>D250 D & R</td><td>Install Single Tank Powder</td><td>Unison G</td><td>Install Multi Tank Liquid</td><td>D 1000</td><td>Install Multi Tank Powder</td><td>Unison G</td><td>Integral</td><td>Integral</td></table>
and name it (for example) List. You can then simplify the formula to

    =IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(AM58,List,2,0)),IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(X 58,Manufacturer,2,0)),"",VLOOKUP(X58,Manufacturer, 2,0)),VLOOKUP(AM58,List,2,0))
