conditional formatting second degree (2000 SP3)

Is there a way to tweek conditional formatting for reports. I want the back ground color of variable to be yellow on screen but I want to print white on paper (HP laser jet 5).

Access doesn't distinguish between printing and previewing then printing a report, so it'll be difficult, if it is possible at all.
