    Template Wizard add-in tmplwiz.exe (Excel 2002)

    Aloha all,
Does anyone have any experience/comments about the Excel 2002 Template Wizard add-in (tmplwiz.exe)? I have a couple of applications where I am planning to create a form to edit data stored in a list, and I want to go beyond the limited functionality of Excel's built-in Data Form. I can muddle through writing the code on my own, and am wondering whether the subject add-in is worthwhile and will save me time.
    Mahalo for your comments,

    John Jacobson

I have never used the Template Wizard seriously. Depending on your needs you may like the Enhanced Data Form from John Walkenbach. It's free (if you want to customize it, you can purchase the source code).

    Thanks Hans,
    I'll check out J-Walk's tool.
Sorry all, for the extreme close-up pic, had no idea this pic was so offensive. I hope I chenged my preferences properly.

Although I also have no first hand experience, I had colleagues who used it for a specific application they were developing and they turned to me when they had problems. The problem existed when they tried to load it on a Win XP laptop and it just fell over. If memory serves me right the following OS are supported Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows NT and Windows ME. Once up and running they seemed to have no problems and came up with quite an impressive application

    Thanks Jerry,
Our office is a mix of WinXP and Win2000. I don't think I'll take chances.

    Aloha,
