Recently I noticed when working & editing in Word standard documents just text & some heading style formatting applied - no tables, nothing else out of the ordinary. file size is approx 200KB. on the save - the result is the document is saved. I check in C:Temp and .tmp files associated with that document eg ~WRF0000.tmp file size is like 3 - 4MB. I noticed while working on the documents & saving the file size bloats out to 51 MG. Soon after a number of saves - Word crashes. And this behaviour continues. with the document after an Open & Repair and other workarounds to clear the corruption.

In the Save settings the checkbox is selected 'Allow background saves. and the checkbox is unticked 'Allow fast saves'

any ideas or have you seen this behaviour before?
