Find and Replace (Word 2003)

I have a long document where there are terms defined. I am trying to put the terms in one column of a table and the definitions in another. Currently all the terms are in All Caps and in bold and the definitions are on the same line separated only by a space.

What I am hoping to do is do some sort of find and replace that finds all the words formatted in bold, and then "replaces" those words with same word plus a tab or a ~ and then I can replace the ~ with a tab, or something along those lines. Once the tab is there, I can then easily convert the text to a table. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

Re: Find and Replace (Word 2003)

Select Edit | Replace...
Make sure the insertion point is in the Find What box
Click More.
Select Format | Font...
Click on Bold, then click OK
Click in the Replace With box.
Type
^&^t
(^& stands for the find text, and ^t for a tab character)
Click Replace All.

Worked like a charm. Thank you very much. The ^& "trick" is new to me and is awesome!

See <!post=Find/Replace Special Characters (Word),421558>Find/Replace Special Characters (Word)<!/post> for an overview of "codes" you can use in the Find/Replace dialog.
