    Circular Reference Error Fix (Excel XP)

    I have an Excel application that solves a series of equations by iteration. If a user opens the workbook and the tools-options-calculation-iteration box is NOT checked, he gets a circular reference error. I tried to solve this problem with the following subprocedure:

    Private Sub Workbook_Open()
    With Application
    .Iteration = True
    .MaxChange = 0.001
    End With
    End Sub

    The subprocedure works by checking the appropriate box, but not until after the circular reference error. Is there a way to fix this problem?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Either instruct the users to turn on iteration before opening the workbook, or provide a macro that first turns on iteration, then opens the workbook.
