    Query formatting (Access 2000)

I have a query that I created by joining a totals query (with parameters) and a crosstab query, but I am unable to build a form from it as the crosstab query has dynamic headings (dates).

    1. The numbers in some of the columns from the totals query are right-aligned (which is what I want) but some are left-aligned. How can I specify the horizontal alignment of columns in a query in datasheet view?

    2. How can I specify the width of the dynamic columns from the crosstab query, so that new ones are generated with the specified width rather than the default width?

    Re: Query formatting (Access 2000)

You shouldn't bother with formatting a query, end users should never work with queries directly. Moreover, you cannot specify horizontal alignment in a query, nor the width of not-yet-existing columns.

You can create a report based on a crosstab query, but it is a lot of work. Do a search in this forum for dynamic crosstab report.

Thanks for your reply. I would prefer to create a datasheet form from this query but have insufficient programming knowledge so I have to use it as is.
