    Blue border (Publisher 2003)

I am trying to create a new document that I have sized in File>Page Setup>Layout tab, Publication type = Custom, Width 9" Height 6", Orientation = Landscape. I then get a clean page 9 x 6 but with a blue boarder that is 7 x 4. What is this blue boarder for?

That blue border is your margin. To change your margin, go to Arrange > Layout Guides > Margin tab and change the dimensions of your margin. If you don't want any margin, set all the margins to zero. Also, you can just click on View and de-select Boundaries and Guides.

That blue border is an arbitrary mark that you choose to facilitate laying out your publication.

    Thanks, that works.
    Second question:
    I am trying to create a card that is 9 3/16 x 6 3/16
In Page Setup I select Custom and Width 9.25 Height 6.25 (I had to adjust this to get the correct width.)
    The Crop marks are printed at 9 3/16 x 6 1/4.
Why are the crop marks not at the exact place I specified in Page Setup

Have you tried using the dimensions 9.187 and 6.187?j I really can't answer your question about the crop marks. I looked for a way to adjust them and couldn't find anything. All I found was this information:
On the File menu, click Print.
    Click Advanced Print Settings.
On the Page Settings tab, do one or both of the following:
    Under Printer

I just tried creating a card with the dimensions of 9.1875 H. and 6.1875 W and the crop marks came out perfectly 9 3/16 and 6 3/16. Try it again, Jim.
