    Strange: 'Invisible' field (2003)

I was modifying the structure of a database that I created by importing a large Excel table. I changed the name of a field, and then converted it from Text to Date (all the entries were either blank or proper MM/DD/YY format), and hit the save button.

I switched to datasheet view, and the field I had modified was not included in the display grid!

I wizarded up a form, and the field is still there with the data in it, but I haven't been able to make it reapear on the datasheet view grid. And I cannot reprduce the error either.

Any suggestions for what I may have done and what I migth try to get my grid display back properly?

    Thanks

Have you tried Format | Unhide Columns...?
If that doesn't help, check whether there is an extremely narrow, almost invisible column in the position where you'd expect the missing column.

Oops! There it is. I was trying to use "unhide columns" as in Excel, and it wasn't getting me anywhere.

Thanks for the help! I wonder what I did?

These things just happen from time to time, no use wondering what the exact cause is...
