    Word Breaks in Word 97

I would like to prevent units from breaking away from the numbers they are describing, but I can't find the function that allows me to do this.

For example, I want "3 dogs" to appear as a contiguous phrase, but it happens be positioned so that "3" is at the end of a line and "dogs" is at the beginning of the next line.

How do I force "3" to wrap to the next line along with "dogs"?

I would appreciate any help anyone can give me on this. I've asked several people if they know how to make this happen, but they either never thought about it before, or gave up their search for the answer.

    Thanks all.

If you change the sapce between "3" and "dogs" to a non-breaking space, it will not split at the end of a line.

Insert, Symbol, Special characters, select non-breaking space; or Ctl+Shift+Space

    Thanks, Geoff.

I never thought to look in there. I always thought it would be a function to switch on or off, not a special character to insert. This is a simple fix.
