    Re: Recently Opened Files

Did you have TweakUI running before installing Office XP?
If so this setting was turned off using TweakUI. The default setting for Windows is to have this setting turned ON.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

I did not even have Tweak on my computer but I do have XTEQ 6.0 which I think is the cause but I couldn't fix the problem so I downloaded Tweak and checked the box and that did it.

These third part addins can and will do it to you. I do NOT use to many of them, I have found that they seem to fight each other at times.

    Recently Opened Files (XP)

I am unable to turn on the "Recently Used Files" feature as the box/option is "grayed-out" in the General Tab of the "Options" -- In fact I cannot get "recently used files" to show on my Excel 2002 either. Any ideas?

JUST FOUND THE SOLUTION -- IF YOU HAVE TWEAKUI 1.33 JUST CHECK THE 'ADD NEW DOCUMENTS TO THE START MENU" UNDER THE "IE" TAB. Found this in Woody's WOPR latest Office Watch who referenced Scott Finie's latest newsletter. Scott provided the solution.
