    Placeholder marks? (Word 2003)

Can someone tell me how to turn off place holders? At least I think they are placeholders. Only appear in print layout view. I have looked in tools, options, view and I cannot find anything. They are in the four corners of the document.

    Thank you!

Select Tools | Options, activate the View tab and clear the "Text Boundaries" check box, then click OK.
If that doesn't help, have you installed support for East Asian languages?

    Re: Placeholder marks? (Word 2003)

There is a MS knowledge base article at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=839371 that seems to address this problem and it seems to be to do with Asian language support.

    Does that help?

The text boundaries is not checked - I checked to see what would happen and it turns on a dotted border around the "usuable" space on the page.

I will look into your other suggestion.

Thank you - followed the link - and removed Asian language.

    Great!
    Thanks
