    Append Problem (2000)

I have a table (tblStudent) in a database which needs to have data appended to it. The data to be added is in an Excel spreadsheet and I have formatted the columns to correspond to the data types in the table. My question is "what is the best way of appending the data in the spreadsheet to the table?".
    Many thanks in anticipation.

If this is a one-time operation, you can use copy-and paste:
    - Copy the records in the Excel spreadsheet.
    - Select the blank new record in tblStudent and press Ctrl+V.

If this needs to be done regularly, you can use File | Get External Data | Link Tables to create a link to the Excel spreadsheet, and create an append query based on the linked table.
