New format of junk mail (Office 2003)

Any suggestions please. Please accept my apologies if this has been discussed before, but I did not know what to search for.

I've tried several spam catching programs, and never been happy, so I have gradually built my own set of Outlook Rules which (in addition to the existing MS supplied Outlook Junk Rules), catch the vast majority of my spam and make handling the remaining few emails acceptable. Recently though I've noticed a change and I have failed to catch a number of emails that I expected to. They appear to be using text and not graphics, but still get past my rules. On examining them, they seem to have found a way to split lines of text, that I can't work out.

The file below shows one received today which I would have expected to catch.

However, if I cut and paste that text into Notepad, I get the following result.

Ho nding Pha icals at affo
ttest Dema rmaceut rdable Pri ce

    Sav r 80 ugs
    e ove % on dr

    Via
    alis Val more to
gra Ci ium and choose from

At first, I thought of a new font positioning the text on different lines. but I believe when pasted into a raw text editor like Notepad this would show the right text.

All suggestions will be gratefully received.

    Thanks.

See the thread starting at <post#=516,174>post 516,174</post: >. At the moment, it's impossible to detect this. As suggested in the thread I referred to, a spam filter would have to render the page in order to detect the resulting text.

Instead of using rules, perhaps a Bayesian type Spam programme such aas Spam Bayes is worth a look. It 'learns', so if you say that "these are Spam" it may well catch these creative emails.
I used Spam Bayes for a couple of years and was impressed. HTH
