    Insert equation (97)

I want to insert an equation into the text in a bullet point in a PPT 97 presentation. If I insert it from the insert menu it seems to be a separate thing on the slide and is not inserted in line with the text at the insertion point. Is there a way to make it inline with the text as it would be in Word?

No, PowerPoint does not have inline graphics, all graphics (including equation objects) are floating.

You could insert a Word object in a slide, and an inline equation object in the Word object...

If you use one of the TeX variants, you might like TeX4PPT (still a floating object, though)

I don't need it that badly - I'll manage without. Thanks, Hans.
