Shortcut to open file with non-default program (XP Pro SP2)

Hello, what a mouthful that subject line is! What I'd like to do is to be able to have a shortcut to an htm file but rather than having it open in Firefox which is the default I want the shortcut to launch Dreamweaver so I can open the file with that. I have a horrible feeling that what I want to do is very easy but my thinking is convoluted. I guess what I want is the open with function built right into the short cut. Hope this makes sense!

    Thanks,

    Chris (Hunt)

    Try this:
    Right-click on Desktop > New > Shortcut..
In the "Type the location.." field, enter the full path to the main Dreamweaver exe in quotes, followed by a space, followed by the full path to the file you want opened.

I don't have Dreamweaver, so can't test it, but it works with FireFox. You may have to experiment with the quotes, especially if the file path includes a space.

Thanks Leif, that worked beautifully. I thought it was something to do with combining the exe file and the file name but had no idea how. Great stuff.

    Best wishes,

    Chris
