    run (I.E. 6)

I want to clear the "run" bar as well as the address bar. How can I do that.
    Thanks John

Forgive my ignorance, what is the "run bar"?

I think he means Start>Run. The previously entered commands are on the dropdown.

But that's not an Internet Explorer question, is it?

Don't think so. But the other is, I think. Maybe in Tools>Internet Options>

Yep. Clear History probably also clears the history for Start | Run...

    Re: run (I.E. 6)

Thanks all. I knew that part, but isnt there a way to have the "Start>Run" clear when I shut down IE?. I have another problem as well I just discovered. I had Netscape installed, and decided to delete it. now when I type in a URL in the "Start>Run, I get the following message: " "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel". I went in there, but that is way over my head.If I type something else like regedit, or msconfig etc. it works just fine. So I am assuming that IE is now not associated somehow.
    Thanks John

You could use IE Privacy Keeper to automatically clear the history lists.

Try Tools | Internet Options... in Internet Explorer. Activate the Programs tab, and click Restore Web Settings (you probably don't want to reset your start page, so clear the check box for that).
