    Saving Images (IE6)

I have only noticed this recently but if I wish to save a picture from a web page, it only allows me to save it as a bitmap when it is clearly a jpeg/jpg file. But if I email it to myself it arrives as a jpeg/jpg file. Have I 'done' something or is this standard with IE6 now?

What happens if you clear your cache and temp files?

See Internet Explorer saves images as bitmaps (.bmp Files); make sure also to follow the links near the bottom of the article.

I have the same problem but, it is with images received in a email using Outlook 2003, NOT a attachment. Any fixes for this?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

See Outlookhelp - Save Embedded Pictures in Their Original Format - the solution involves creating a macro in Outlook...
