    Lost Menu (2000)

I've been messing around in this db long enough now that I don't know what I did to the right-click menu for the forms. I used to have the menu pictured below, but it is no longer available. What I wanted to do was have the filter/sort option available, but not the design view. Now I don't have anything! Can this menu be customized (i.e disable design view, but retain filter/sort)? I do understand the option to allow design change from all or design views only. Failing that, I need to know how to get this right-click menu back. Thanks!

    Re: Lost Menu (2000)

Have you tried the Lost and Found Department?

Seriously, did you clear the "Allow default shortcut menus" check box in Tools | Startup...?
If you want a custom shortcut menu, you'll have to design it from scratch.
    - Select Tools | Customize...
    - Activate the Toolbars tab.
    - Click New...
    - Specify a meaningful name, such as bfxtrfcmgr popup menu and click OK.
    - Switch to the Commands tab.
    - Look through the Categories and Commands available, and drag the items you need to your toolbar.
    - Switch back to the Toolbars tab.
    - With the new toolbar selected in the list, click Properties.
    - Set the Type property to Popup.
    - Click OK. You'll get a warning, that's OK.
    - Close the Customize dialog.
    - Open a form in design view.
    - Activate the Other tab of the Properties window.
    - Select your custom popup menu (toolbar) in the Shortcut Menu property.

Note: if you want to modify your popup menu later on, select Tools | Customize..., activate the Toolbars tab and tick Shortcut Menus. This will make a special toolbar visible. You'll find your popup menu under Custom.

As a matter of fact I did. . .got a pretty cool scarf out of the deal. . . . . .but no shortcut menu.

Yes, I unchecked the default menu option (but that was before my nap. . . .sooooooooo). Thanks Hans, all better now.
I will now attempt to muddy the waters with a custom shortcut menu; all while dropping bread crumbs along the way!
