    File path (2003 SP2)

I receive a message on opening Outlook that The file path specified for the file I:Rinbox.pst is not valid.

I was previously using removable media (which I can still do if I set up such a folder), but now I want to reset Outlook to its default locations and get rid of this maddening (and embarrassing) message. Inbox data is not a concern, because it has already been exported or backed up. This is unrelated to SP2, which appears to have been successful on two of my computers.

All other Outlook data on this computer is in its customary place and readily accessible. Can anyone tell me where to find a setting for this?

Did you try removing it through File | Data File Management? (Search this Forum for a number of threads on removing invalid PST references.)

    Re: File path (2003 SP2)

Thanks John. I did get it, after much trial and error. It seems the error message was followed by another message that offered to set the location for me, and all I had to do was fill in the default location.
