    Sheet Protection (XP:SP3)

Why is it that when you protect a sheet and you provide for column deletion Excel will not allow one to delete the column because of protected cells.

Is this a flaw in Excel or am I missing something?

    Thanks,
    John

You can only delete a column in a protected worksheet if ALL cells in that column are unlocked. This is by design.
