    Rights and permissions

I am just wondering if anyone knows of any way to extract a list of all domain nameuser names or domain namegroup names from a shared drive. To further explain, I have a client moving from one domain to another as well as reassigning user names from alpha to alpha/numeric and they access a large number of resources on a shared drive. I need to be able, if possible, to extract who has rights - users and groups - to each folder in the share.
If anyone knows of such a tool I would appreciate a helping hand.
    Thank you in advance,
    gap

    Re: Rights and permissions

Easiest method is probably to type CACLS foldername /T > file.txt to a command prompt

This will put information about all the permissions for access to the specified folder into file.txt (the /T says to go to all subfolders and files, otherwise you'd just get information about the top level folder)
