    Upgrade from WIN95

I am running WIN95C and wish to upgrade to WIN98 for which I have a valid CD. The only issue is that the CD is for a new install and not an upgrade. I can't seem to find anything on the Microsoft site. Does anyone know how to use this disk or how I can buy the WIN98 upgrade.

    Re: Upgrade from WIN95

Jordan, one way I have successfully used such a disk in the past is to delete or move the file Win.com - which is in the Windows Folder. Setup will then recognise that a new install can be carried out, but make sure you place it in the same folder as it was in the past. Sometimes the new install will attempt to set up in c:windows.000 instead of c:windows <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>
