    how to insert a pdf (2002)

    I would like to inset a pdf file in a word document, can this be done easily.

    Hi Richard

    Neither Microsoft nor Adobe provide filters that would enable pdf files to be viewable in a Word document.

    You haven't explained exactly how you want this file to appear within the word document.

    You can use Insert > Object > From File
    Word will display an Adobe icon at the insert point and you can double click this to see the contents (assuming that a suitable viewer is installed).

    You can select Insert | Object..., activate the New tab, select Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Object and click OK.
    An Open dialog will be displayed in which you can select a .pdf file. when you click Open, the first page of the .pdf file will be displayed in the document. You can double click the object to open the .pdf file in Acrobat Reader and view the other pages.
