    Picture folders (XP SP2)

When you right click a folder and choose properties, you can select a folder type on the customise tab. What's the actual difference between 'Photo Album (best for fewer files)' and 'Pictures (best for many files)'? Both seem to enable the filmstrip view, which is not available if the 'documents (for any file type)' option is selected, and both seem to support viewing as a slideshow. (And what is meant by 'fewer' or 'many'?)

The filmstrip is available in both, but it is the default view in Photo Album, while Thumbnail is the default view for Pictures. I don't think there is a stringent distinction between 'fewer' and 'many', it's up to you to decide what you prefer.

How long is a short piece of string?
Many and fewer is a matter of perspective.

When you start getting a large amount of images in a folder and it takes forever to load you will definitely know that you have gotten "Many" images in your folder.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
