    Deleting Sheets (2000)

Can't seem to delete a blank worksheet. Any ideas?

    <img src=/S/whisper.gif border=0 alt=whisper width=29 height=17>Minor correction:
A workbook must always have at least one visible sheet. It does not have to be a worksheet. A chart sheet is acceptable.

It would help if you told us if you get an error message, and if so, what it says, and if not, what happens when you try to delete a worksheet.

You cannot delete a worksheet if it is the only visible sheet in a workbook, for a workbook must always have at least one visible sheet.

Added: I originally wrote "visible worksheet" twice. As Steve pointed out, it must be "visible sheet".

I found the culprit: it was a shared workbook; when I de-activated the sharing, I could delete the worksheets with no problem!
