    If into column R of MASTER is present the same value of comlumn R of USER put into column Q of MASTER the related value of column Q of USER

    Enter this formula in Q2:

    =IF(ISNA(MATCH(R2,USER!$R$2:$R$360,0)),"",INDEX(US ER!$Q$2:$Q$360,MATCH(R2,USER!$R$2:$R$360,0)))

    and fill down as far as needed.

    If you do it once manually with the macro recorder on, you can see the code to do it with a macro. You could then modify the code to generalize as desired.

    Steve has already indicated how you can create a macro.

    To get "New" in records without a match, replace "" with "New" in the formula.
