Toolbar's backcolor

Hello all!
Does anyone know how to change the backcolor of a toolbar in vb 6? I have a white form and I drop a toolbar on the form but I can't seem to figure out how to change the backcolor of the toolbar to match the form. Any ideas?

I don't know of any "easy" way except changing the system color for menus, which is *not* a good idea, since it applies to everything. You could probably do it to apply only to that project with API calls, but that's a lot of work for not much result and users are accustomed to the usual look and feel of gray menubars.

I quite agree with Charlotte here. But I hate the default look of the toolbars as well. An alternative is using another control. I've used the vbAccelerator Toolbar control. It's free and quite nice. Read the documentation on the website http://vbaccelerator.com/codelib/comctl/retbar.htm. You will need the Ssubtmr.dll, also available there and register those controls. It's a bit complicated to use, but once you get the hang of it, it's really nice. It includes demo-projects. But don't use it if you don't think it's worth spending a couple of hours on.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to e-mail me.

Good luck.
