    BuyingVideoSuitableSystem

Newbie @ this video stuff. Want to buy a new system and would like to get one that is suitable for do-it-myself video editing (home stuff, non-commercial). While there are budget considerations, I don't want a barely-capable system. Software is not an issue as I have a few bundled with my video gear & dvd burner (which I will reuse). with the new system which version of Windows XP is best (thinking of the windows media/multimedia version)?
    Thanks for any assistance

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!
