Winfax is the name of a specific third party application, which you would have to buy.

If you just want to use Windows XP's native Fax service then you install it by
Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components
set the check box next to Fax Services
    OK

    Select Start | Control Panel...
    Activate Add or Remove Programs.
    Click on Add/Remove Windows Components.
Tick the check box for Fax Services, then click Next.
Some PC manufacturers (such as Dell) install the Windows CD on a hidden partition. In that case you won't need a separate CD. Otherwise, you'll ave to have your Windows XP CD ready.
After installation, the fax services will be configured the first time you use them.
