    Export to DBF (2000/XP)

I am trying to export a query to dbf format. While I can see how to do it manually using the menus, how can it be done either as a macro or in vba?

    Try code like this:

DoCmd.TransferDatabase acExport, "dBase IV", "C:Test", acQuery, "Custom", "Custom.dbf"

Note: all field names in the query must conform to the DBase naming convention: max 8 characters, no spaces etc. The same holds for the name of the target table.

Many thanks Hans - that worked perfectly.
