Importing Eudora mailboxes into Outlook 2003 (Eudo

When I try to import the mailboxes from Eudora 6.0.3.0 to Outlook 2003, I
get an "Import Error", "The mail folder could not be opened. If another
application is using this file, please close it and try again/".

    Eudora is not running.
The format of Eudora 6 mailboxes is the same as that of earlier versions.

How do I import the critters into Outlook 2003?

I don't use Eudora, but the Slipstick site usually has (several) good answers for these types of issues:

Slipstick does not appear to describe the problem, nor could I find the answer in the MSFT KB.
Appears to be an Outlook 2003 bug.

I may try in earlier version of Outlook to see what happens.

Re: Importing Eudora mailboxes into Outlook 2003 (

I was able to import all the messages (except for 4 mailboxes) in OE last night.
I ASSuME that OL would be able to import those,
However, I may need a direct conversion frim Eudora to Outlook, not sure yet.
